From inside the app, open Settings → Send Feedback. That pre-fills your app version and platform, which makes investigating bugs a lot faster on our end.
What to include in a bug report
- What you were trying to do, and what happened instead
- Your device model and iOS/Android version
- App version (Settings → About, bottom of the screen)
- A screenshot or screen recording, if you can
- Whether it happens every time, or only sometimes
Subscriptions
How do I cancel?
Subscriptions are managed by the App Store, not by us. On iPhone or iPad, open Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, tap The Protocol, then Cancel. You keep Premium access until the end of the current billing period.
I was charged but Premium isn’t showing
Open the app and tap Settings → Subscription → Restore Purchases. This re-syncs your entitlement from the App Store. If it still doesn’t work, email us with the date and amount of the charge and we’ll sort it out.
Refunds
Refunds are handled directly by Apple. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. If you tell us you’ve requested one, we’ll back the request from our side.
Account & data
Cross-device sync
Sign in with the same Apple ID, Google account, or email on every device and your meals, weight history, and protocol sync automatically. The Protocol works fully offline too — sign-in is optional.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account and all associated data from inside the app (Settings → My Data → Delete Account) or directly here: theprotocol.cc/delete-account. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.
Exporting your data
Open Settings → My Data → Export to download a JSON copy of your meals, weight history, and protocol.
Common issues
Meal analysis is taking too long or failing
The AI pipeline times out after about 30 seconds. If you’re on a slow connection, retry from the meal card. If the same meal fails repeatedly, send us the photo and we’ll investigate.
My macro targets look wrong
Open Settings → Body & Targets to review the inputs that drive your protocol. You can also tap Customize on the macro card to override individual targets for idle and training days.
Apple Health isn’t syncing
Open Settings → Apple Health. The screen shows exactly which permissions are granted and lets you re-grant any that were denied. iOS only asks for each permission once, so re-granting requires the in-app flow.
